What was the highlight of Golden Tulip Haeundae Hotel & Suite
Could have been a better experience.
New building, towels and robe were good quality, bed sheets and pillows were also very nice and comfortable. Didn't use the washer or dryer but seems good for long stays. Nicely decorated.
At check in, employee couldnt find my reservation. Later he charged me an incorrect amount so he had to cancel and recharge correct amount. The room I booked was supposed to have an ocean view..the room I was given did not. I was too tired to complain. When I was about to get on the elevator after check in, an employee bumped into me while trying to get the elevator door for other guests but did not apologize. He, then proceeded to ask to check my room key and number before letting me get on the elevator, as if I was not a guest of the hotel. The day of check out, I went out and came back to hotel 10 minutes before 11am and the cleaning lady was in my room cleaning. She didnt know I was going to check out. I thought it was a given that a hotel tells its cleaning staff which room to clean and which room to leave for after check out. Also, one last thing that seems to be essential. There are 3 elevators but they are so small and so slow that on the way down to check out, had to wait for more than 4 elevators because they were full. Finally, the only options were to take the stairs or take the elevator going up (since it was empty) and then go down. I saw many people doing the same thing. It is very annoying if you have a lot of luggage. Luckily, I had only my backpack.

The bed was huge, the room was very clean overall, the staffs were super friendly, location isn’t the closest to the mains street/beach but it is well within the 10min walking distance. They have a cool botanic garden like cafe/lounge. Great value for money - affordable room rates but they could give you high 3 starts or 4 stars hotel experience.
There was a cockroach (very huge one) in our room. No idea where it came from but the hotel should call a pest control to ensure this doesn’t happen. The hotel seems to keep the room condition to a certain level so I guess we were just unfortunate. I’d give them 10 out of 10 had it not been for the bug but the cockroach really ruined the general experience.

The bed are very comfortable to sleep and big I really like it. And the lobby has a beautiful place to take a rest with beautiful garden. I really enjoyed it.
The room don’t have mirrors for girls to make up in the room. Only one mirror in the toilet only. We’re not feel comfortable to check when we’re put the dress up. Just a girls thing.
